Oman November 2013
12 swedish birders and the guide Olle from Avifauna went to southern Oman for a week. We stayed on a very nice hotel in Salalah during the whole week. Most of the birdning was short trips in the surroungdings of Salalah. But we also took a trip 200 km into the desert were we stayed for one night in a more modest hotel. We saw exactly 200 species, 40 were lifers for me. The larches and sandgouses in the desert were really nice but the top was perhaps our vist to the city dump of Salalah. There were excellent photo ops of more than 100 Steppe Eagles together with Imperial Eagles and White Storks.
